75 Vadodara Village Students Return to Government School After Launch of Smart Classes
A After the district administration in Vadodara district launched a campaign to highlight the quality outcomes of the Smart classes in the current academic year, about 75 students from villages have returned to government-run schools. District Collector Atul Gor started the initiative to use technology to make sure that students in remote locations also receive a high-quality education, according to a release from the district administration of Vadodara.
"The 225 schools in the district have been selected for this, and the first round of Smart Classes will be offered at 73 of those schools. Along with the education module, a dashboard is available in this Smart Class. For its courses of various standards, it utilises audio-visual materials. The animated maths and science exercises, along with Gujarati and Hindi poems, are luring students to learn, according to a release on Saturday.

Pupils from private schools have been readmitted to public elementary schools in Lilod Village, Karjan Taluka. There are 304 students enrolled in the primary school in Lilod village, which has a population of just 900. These students come from neighbouring villages as well. 13 students have applied for re-admission to Lilod Primary School after having their admission to a private school in the neighbourhood village cancelled.
According to Archana Chaudhari, the district's primary education officer, the department surveyed 5,853 students from 140 current schools with smart classes.
Because they were not taught in intelligent classes during the academic year 2019-20, these sixth-grade students performed poorly on the yearly exams. 982 students (17%) had averages below 40%. 4,007 students in total received grades between 40 and 79%. Less than 750 students received a grade of more than 80%. These students are still in grade 8 smart classes in 2021–2022, and they performed better on the subsequent annual exam. 5853 students signed up overall this year, she reported.
