AICTE: Engineering Colleges to be Converted into Hybrid Learning Centres
R Regulators in India have asked AICTE to implement hybrid learning across all levels. Based on their plea, the All India Council for Technical Education has partnered with Tech Avante Garde (TAG) to convert engineering colleges into hybrid learning centres. A source from AICTE said that partner TAG will be helpful in assisting the technical departments to digitally transform and extend their outputs.
Through hybrid learning systems, AICTE aims to provide engineering students with a unique and customised educational learning experience that is accessible anywhere. All AICTE-approved colleges will be gradually converted to hybrid learning environments, and about 70 lakh students would be employed throughout the region.
…the decision to convert colleges into hybrid learning spaces will provide the students with a personalised, customised, and an adoptive way of learning…
In a letter to the media, Buddha Chandrasekhar, Chief Coordinating Officer of AICTE, said, “The decision to convert colleges into hybrid learning spaces will provide the students with a personalised, customised, and an adoptive way of learning. Every student has a unique way of learning, and the hybrid approach will benefit them.”
The hybrid system would feature an integrated support system that will allow students to discover engineering's technical complexities at their own pace. This will boost understanding and teaching-learning outcomes in engineering schools. TAG will have created high-quality virtual laboratories to help transform the colleges into hybrid learning environments. Furthermore, according to a source from TAG, the company is implementing a National Digital Education Framework (NDEAR) to digitise the entire education environment.
