Australian Education: Murdoch Renews Kaplan Partnership
M Murdoch University and Kaplan have partnered to create a new pathway for local and international students who want to advance to undergraduate and graduate degree programmes at the university. The college will be at Murdoch University’s South Street campus in Perth and will be operated by the pathway provider.
In the past, Murdoch and Kaplan worked together through the Murdoch University in Singapore and the Murdoch Institute of Technology in Perth, both of which closed their doors in June 2021.
Rob Regan, managing director of Kaplan ANZ, said Kaplan was looking forward to restarting the partnership at Murdoch University's Perth campus after their previous "terrific partnership."
…Murdoch University has an ongoing commitment to offer pathway opportunities for international students, including teaching on campus... we are delighted we have been able to reach an agreement with Kaplan on this new and exciting opportunity…
Vice Chancellor Andrew Deeks of Murdoch University said, "Murdoch University has an ongoing commitment to offer pathway opportunities for international students, including teaching on campus. We are delighted we have been able to reach an agreement with Kaplan on this new and exciting opportunity.
The Covid-19 pandemic and closed international borders, according to Regan, have had "profound impacts on the international education industry globally, and our previous partnership was affected by this."
We are happy that we were able to collaborate with Murdoch University to develop this new opportunity to provide undergraduate and postgraduate students with a pathway to further their education at Murdoch University, he continued.
