Early Childhood Education Online Training Provider ChildCare Education Institute Gets Acquired by StraighterLine

S StraighterLine has acquired ChildCare Education Institute, one of the largest online training companies for early childhood education professionals. Industry experts claim that the acquisition will help the early childhood education sector. They express hope that the new acquisition will help the early child learning education sector recover from the more than 8% decline in childcare employment that has already occurred since the pandemic started. StraighterLine hopes that the acquisition will enable it to deliver on its promise of providing flexible, cost-effective education that will satisfy employers' needs and help more people land fulfilling careers.

According to Heather Combs, CEO of StraighterLine, employers are looking for innovative talent development strategies that close the gap between education and the workplace. She stated that she hoped to uphold the promise of adaptable, cost-effective education through the merger in order to satisfy employers' needs and assist more people in finding fulfilling careers.

The experience of CCEI will go a long way toward achieving StraightLine's objective of offering high-quality education.To satisfy state licencing and Head Start requirements, CCEI has introduced more than 500 online childcare training courses. According to a CCEI spokesperson, the acquisition aims to expand opportunities for lifelong learning and provide motivated people with a variety of career options.

The acquisition is a first step in StraighterLine's strategy to increase the range of courses it offers, building on a sizable investment made by BV Investment Partners in April 2020. For this transaction, District Capital Partners advised StraighterLine financially, and Ropes & Gray LLP advised the company legally.
