EdTech: Fearless+, Raises $1M in Pre-Seed Round
F Fearless+, a career development platform, has announced a $1 million pre-seed funding round. Fearless+ reimagines career development for Generation Z and Alpha by offering college and career opportunities, elite mentors, and workshops to learn practical skills outside of the classroom.
Fearless+'s proprietary algorithm identifies and highlights the soft skills of students who have not yet entered the workforce, allowing employers and recruiters to engage with a new generation of talent in an authentic way.
Fearless+ co-founder and CEO Deepali Vyas reviewed over 100,000 resumes and interviewed over 40,000 executives during her 22-year career as an executive recruiter with Korn Ferry and Heidrick & Struggles. However, the traditional resume is no longer effective.
"48% of high school students believe they are unprepared for the workforce," Vyas said. "Beyond SAT scores and GPAs, our youth require career readiness options. They must learn how to balance a budget and perform well in interviews. Fearless+ is the only platform that provides students with tools, opportunities, and mentorship access in a digital format.”
…honoured to be a part of such an innovative organisation that is democratising access to personal and professional development for future generations…
Wray Thorn led the investment round, which also included funding from ex-Two Sigma Ventures. The Diamond Family Office, Linda Mintz, Sheila Baird, Mohit Daswani, Tom Grossman, Sandy Hausner, and Vlad Brodsky are among the angel investors.
"Fearless+ is an extremely exciting company led by two mission-driven and highly successful entrepreneurs," Thorn said. "I'm honoured to be a part of such an innovative organisation that is democratising access to personal and professional development for future generations."
Pre-seed funding will be used to increase brand awareness and develop new platform features. The team is currently in their seed round and is looking to connect with potential investors and partners.
