Munich: Ranks Second in ‘QS Best Student Cities List’

G Germany has moved ranks in terms of being one of the best international study destinations. The country now has two entries, Munich and Berlin, in the top 10 of this year’s QS Best Student Cities. Munich has surpassed Berlin and has become one of the top choices of destinations for students.

The city is also more affordable as compared to other European hubs.

The universities in Munich seem to be doing well in the QS World University Ranking 2022 as well. Technische Universität München sits at the 50th rank, followed by Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München at the 64th rank. These two universities remain Munich’s best entrees in this year’s world ranking. The fact that no tuition fees are charged for undergraduate studies at public universities in most places in Germany, regardless of nationality, is a big plus point and one of the main reasons why students are more drawn to the country.

Munich’s incredible performance this year can be attributed to factors such as overall desirability and impressive employer activity. The city is also more affordable as compared to other European hubs. Add to that the quality of life and ease of getting around.
