North Island Credit Union Provides Back-to-School Supplies to Boys & Girls Clubs

N North Island Credit Union (NICU) has teamed up with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego (BGCSD) for their annual Back-to-School Drive. This year, NICU has donated more than 260 backpacks filled with essential school supplies to help students in need.

The backpacks were generously donated by NICU employees, members, and the community. A source said that inside each backpack, students will get important school supplies like pencils, pens, notebooks, folders, and rulers. These backpacks will be given to students from elementary to high school who are part of BGCSD programs all over San Diego County.

Steve OConnell, the CEO of NICU, believes that every student deserves to start the school year with everything they need to succeed academically. He said, "We're excited to support local youth through our partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego. Helping our students and teachers in their learning journey is a big part of our commitment to the community."
