PhotoStudy Introduces ChatGPT-like Chatbot for Math Textbooks & Publishers
P PhotoStudy has just announced ChatGPT, a chatbot designed to help students with math textbooks. The bot is designed to provide a similar experience to using a tutor, allowing students to get help with specific questions and problems.
PhotoStudyit stated in a press release that it has successfully used OpenAI's GPT APIs to train a ChatGPT-like chatbot to teach a complete elementary algebra textbook as a chatbot with extremely high accuracy. Textbook publishers and teachers can now transform their textbooks and teaching with a ChatGPT-like assistant that can teach all of the material in a textbook, assess student progress, provide personalised help in weaker areas, generate quizzes with text, image, and audio support, and eventually a student customised avatar for video interaction. Interested independent, small, and large publishers are invited to contact the PhotoStudy team at mathgpt.photostudy.co to join the private beta for transforming their textbooks into next generation experiences.

Today, over 200 middle, high school, and college programmes use PhotoStudy for live 1:1 on-demand short tutoring sessions, with over 4 million sessions completed in a variety of STEM subjects. The PhotoStudy team began working with GPT-3 APIs in 2021 to develop the ChatGPT-like product using the insights gained from this vast experience, combined with proprietary techniques for training Generative AI models. Rather than creating a general-purpose AI tutor, the team decided to concentrate on the "gateway" subject of elementary algebra in middle school, textbook by textbook.
Briefing the media about the new project, Hung Tran, founder of PhotoStudy said in a statement, ""We want everybody in the world to have access to a personalised math tutor. We also want to help teachers and schools with the content they are already teaching while also changing textbook publishing: textbooks are not cheap. However, there is now a low-cost way to get the most out of Project "MathGPT."
