Study of Novel COPD Program Launched by UMass Chan Medical School and Wellinks
A A new programme called Healthy at Home has been launched by UMass Chan Medical School and Wellinks, a digital healthcare provider that offers the first-ever integrated, virtual Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) management solution. The programme will look at how well virtual care can help COPD patients avoid the need for acute care.
Wellinks is a key component of this study's novel strategy to managing COPD chronic care, which is being spearheaded by UMass Chan's Program in Digital Medicine. Researchers will assess the program's viability and effects on patient-reported outcomes, healthcare utilisation, and overall medical costs over the course of six months. The study's complete results are anticipated around mid-2023.
