Ukrainian EdTech Company DAN.it Launches First Metaverse Universe Program in the UK
U Ukrainian Edtech company, DAN.it has launched what it calls its first Metaverse universal program in the UK. A source from the company said that the program was launched in response to disruption of education in Ukraine.
Communication from DAN.it says that after successfully launching a Metaverse program in Ukraine, the company now wants to expand its base to other parts of Europe. DAN.it will launch its Metaverse program soon and it claims to be a first-of-its-kind.
…participants in the metaverse programme create their own avatars, which they can control and speak through using their microphone, rather than appearing on camera...
The company’s CEO told the media that DAN.it has found the integrated virtual and augmented reality platform to be helpful for students facing difficulties with online learning. Speaking on the launch, she said, “Communication platforms don’t cover all the bases in education. Students turn off their cameras and microphones and miss out on team building and learning experiences.”
DAN.it aims to develop a platform where students can interact and receive immersive instruction in an online university. Participants in the metaverse programme create their own avatars, which they can control and speak through using their microphone, rather than appearing on camera.
The program's current emphasis is on technological training; the vast majority of its students are pursuing IT or other tech careers. Being in the metaverse offers a more "hands-on" approach that imparts specific IT skills. However, the company is currently providing high school maths classes and intends to diversify into other academic areas as it attracts more students.
