American Company LRN Launches International Education Qualifications in Thailand

T The Learning Resource Network (LRN), an American company that specialises in English as a second language (ESOL), education training, and management certification, has announced that it will offer internationally recognised qualifications in Thailand. The announcement came after the Council of University Presidents of Thailand (CUPT) granted the company permission to offer its International GCSE, AS/A Level, and Pre-University Foundation qualifications to Thai students.

LRN held a launch event in Bangkok on March 15, 2023, during which the deputy ambassador of the British Embassy in Bangkok, David Thomas, praised the agreement between LRN and CUPT as “an example of excellent link building through education”. He said that LRN will be able to support the education and development of many people based in Thailand, and strengthen and develop educational links between Thailand and the UK.

Muhammad Zohaib Tariq, the CEO of LRN, said that launching their qualifications in Thailand is an important step in increasing the availability of well-resourced and high-quality education for local people who are keen to learn and progress to higher education. He said that they are pleased to help local students gain the qualifications that will help them to feed into universities around the world. He added that they believe that education supports both progress and development.

He added, “We believe that education promotes both progress and development, and we're delighted to assist local students in obtaining the qualifications that will allow them to enter universities all over the world.”

LRN aims to provide about 400 Thai students with qualifications in the first year of operation in the Southeast Asian country. The company is currently holding discussions with local partners regarding the implementation of the programs.

LRN was founded in 1994 and is headquartered in Los Angeles. It offers education and advice on ethics, regulatory compliance, and corporate culture. It operates in several countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
