Architecture Education and Construction Industry Come Together with Future Architect Fund

F Future Architect Fund, a non-profit organisation that assists young people in pursuing careers in architecture, announced today its public launch and the launch of its first holiday giving campaign. The organisation, founded in 2020 by architects and construction industry insiders, is dedicated to assisting individuals who may lack the financial means to complete all steps required for licensure. Architecture education is split into four stages: high school, undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate. Each programming phase focuses on next-generation technology and building material science.

The Future Architect Fund has named Judson University, a four-year liberal arts institution based in Elgin, IL, as its inaugural education launch partner as part of its public launch. The University will collaborate with the Future Architect Fund to host architecture summer camps for underserved high school students as well as provide scholarship support to undergraduate and graduate architecture students.

…during its first holiday giving campaign in December 2022, Future Architect Fund plans to collaborate with architecture firms, licenced individuals, building product manufacturers, and other members of the building industry to raise funds for architecture education…

"Becoming a licenced architect is a lengthy, laborious, and expensive path, and there is very limited financial aid to assist in the process, beyond standard undergraduate scholarships," said Benjamin Glunz, founder of the Fund and CEO of construction technology business Anguleris. "Plus, with fast expanding technology and a talent shortage in the architecture profession, we need to invest in the future of the profession now more than ever."
