CompTIA and Arizona State University’s AZNext Organise Free Cyber Security Virtual Event

A According to CyberSeek, the most comprehensive source of information on America's cybersecurity workforce, demand for cybersecurity jobs increased by 43% in the 12-month period between May 2021 and April 2022 compared to a demand increase of almost 18% across the entire employment market. All career levels can find employment, including entry-level positions as cybersecurity specialists, analysts of cybercrime, and other positions.

In a press release, CompTIA announced that it had partnered with Arizona State University's AZNext Workforce Training Accelerator to host a free online cyber security event. Students who were interested in finding out more about the career opportunities in cybersecurity were encouraged to take part in a free cybersecurity programme that is creating a sustainable ecosystem for workforce development.

Strong cyber defences are essential as organisations increase their reliance on technology, according to Angel L. Pieiro, Jr., vice president, strategic academic relationships, CompTIA. "Those defences begin with people who have strong cybersecurity skills that have been developed through education and professional certification." he added.

Three experts will be featured on the programme to discuss their "day in the life" experiences working in cybersecurity and why they find it to be such a fulfilling field.

Speakers on the agenda include Mike Semel, president and chief compliance officer of Semel Consulting, Brigadier General Bernard Skoch (retired), U.S. Air Force, Cyber Defence, Leo Cruz, technical solutions architect, security, U.S. Public Sector - Cisco, and others.

The session will be moderated by senior resultant and compelling content creator Howard M. Cohen.
