Corporate Recruiters Survey 2022 Summary Report: East and Middle Asian Nations Prefer International MBA’s

T The Corporate Recruiters Survey 2022 Summary Report shows a demand for International MBAs over the next 5 years for countries in the Middle East and Eastern Asia. Prepared by the Graduate Management Admission Council, the report found 92% of almost 1,000 corporate recruiters surveyed expect to hire new MBA graduates in 2022.

Some 63% of recruiters project that demand for new business school talent will increase in the next five years, according to the Recruiters Survey – 2022 summary report. In the survey, 56% of US recruiters said they plan to, or are willing to, make international hires in 2022 – up from 48% saying the same in 2021. Hiring among EdTech companies in the US seems to be the highest, around 83% of US tech companies said they either plan to make international hires in 2022 (62%) or are willing to (21%).

While EdTech and private companies saw a jump in hiring international MBAs, not a single US company focusing on energy and utilities surveys were planning to hire international business school graduates.

The Middle East and Western Europe, where 52 percent and 40 percent of recruiters, respectively, said they planned to hire international candidates in 2022, were found to be the regions where international graduates would have the most success finding employment.

In 2022, 54% of corporate recruiters said they were offering the assistance, up from 35% in 2021.

“The latest GMAC findings of the Corporate Recruiters Survey show that nearly nine out of 10 corporate recruiters feel confident or highly confident in the ability of business schools to prepare students to be successful in their organisations.” said Sangeet Chowla, President and CEO of GMAC. “That’s an extraordinary figure. It shows that despite the pandemic and the limitations it brought on student mobility, public and mental health, and remote learning, business schools managed to find ways to build an impressive cohort whom corporate recruiters and staffing agencies worldwide continue to bank on as prime sources for talent.” she added.

Sources say that a total of 941 respondents from 38 countries participated in this year’s survey.
