Deloitte Announces Global Sustainability & Climate Learning Program to Increase Sustainability Knowledge

I In order to increase the knowledge and skills of its roughly 415,000 employees across businesses, industries, and levels of work, Deloitte is launching a globally coordinated learning programme. The initiative is the result of the Deloitte Global Sustainability & Climate practice's dedication to assisting clients as they reconsider their stance on climate change and integrate sustainability into their business practices.

With the help of this learning programme, Deloitte professionals will be better equipped to address sustainability and climate issues while providing advice to clients and other stakeholders, creating one of the world's largest networks of sustainability experts.

…there is a rising demand for these services from clients who want more information and direction on sustainability issues, methods for addressing the climate crisis, and good corporate governance…

To mark the beginning of this initiative, Deloitte is sponsoring its first-ever Global Sustainability and Climate Learning Week from September 26 to September 30. Deloitte employees will have access to a variety of live, on-demand, and virtual opportunities for education, awareness, engagement, and action during Learning Week, which will be a multi-modal experience.

Punit Renjen, CEO of Deloitte Global, notes that there is a rising demand for these services from clients who want more information and direction on sustainability issues, methods for addressing the climate crisis, and good corporate governance.

Building on the success of Deloitte's 2021 WorldClimate learning programme, which educates Deloitte staff members about their unique contributions to climate change and empowers them to make more responsible decisions, both Learning Week and the learning programme encourage lifelong learning.

The digital training was used by more than 300,000 professionals throughout the organisation in its first year. A post-training survey revealed that more than 90% of participants understood Deloitte's commitment to combating climate change and intended to take steps to lessen their impact on the environment.
