Engineering Tomorrow Brings Free Virtual Labs to Texas High Schools

E Engineering Tomorrow, a leading provider of STEM education resources, has announced the expansion of their free virtual lab program to high schools across Texas. The program offers students access to virtual laboratories, allowing them to conduct experiments and explore engineering concepts remotely.

The program is designed to provide students with hands-on learning experiences in STEM fields, especially during the ongoing pandemic, which has disrupted traditional classroom learning. By providing free virtual lab access to high schools, Engineering Tomorrow hopes to make STEM education more accessible and engaging for students across the state.

The virtual labs cover a range of engineering disciplines, including civil, mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering. Students can access the labs through a web-based platform and use virtual tools to simulate experiments and solve engineering problems. The labs also include instructional videos, quizzes, and interactive activities to reinforce learning.

Speaking about Free Virtual Labs coming to Texas, Dr. Timothy J. McNiff, executive director of Engineering Tomorrow said, "In addition to Texas' strong engineering foothold through its oil, aerospace and aviation, manufacturing, and information technology industries, it's evident we need to be exposing the state's students to the array of opportunities waiting to be uncovered. Of the students who have participated in an Engineering Tomorrow lab, 25 percent go on to declare engineering as their major their freshman year of college. Of those students, 40 percent are minority and 26 percent are female."

The expansion of the program to Texas is part of Engineering Tomorrow's broader efforts to promote STEM education across the country. The organisation has already provided virtual lab access to thousands of students in other states, including California, New York, and Florida.

Texas high schools interested in participating in the program can sign up through the Engineering Tomorrow website. The program is available to all high schools in Texas, and there are no fees or subscriptions required.
