NZ Qualifications Authority Partners with WES to Streamline Foreign Credential Assessments

I In an effort to simplify the process of assessing foreign credentials in New Zealand, the New Zealand Qualifications Authority has teamed up with the World Education Services to implement a qualification verification service.

This partnership, known as the WES Global Record Verification Report, aims to streamline the assessment of overseas academic qualifications for migrants and facilitate their integration into New Zealand's system.

The initiative is particularly beneficial for those who fall under the skilled migrant category and is a testament to the country's recognition of the valuable contributions of migrant talent to the economy and its commitment to supporting economic growth.

According to WES, the WES Global Record Verification Report has been specially designed to accelerate services for migrants who are eligible for a resident visa under the "skilled migrant" category.

The CEO of WES, Esther Benjamin, expressed her honour to partner with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority in facilitating the integration of migrants into the country's workforce. She told the press, "WES is honoured to partner with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority by offering a WES Global Records Verification Report that will enable migrants to more rapidly join the country's workforce."

This partnership follows the NZQA's recognition of micro-credentials in 2019 and comes as the country seeks to match its 2019 total of $3.7bn injected into the economy from the education sector. The experience gained from verification is essential for people seeking to contribute their skills to new communities.
