PM-International Commits €1,872,000 In Aid of Children in 2023
P PM-International announced that its charity arm, "PM We Care," has donated €1,872,000, the most it has ever given, in collaboration with the international aid organisation World Vision, to support the health, education, and a good environment for thousands of children.
According to a source close to the deal, the mood for 2023 is pushing the envelope. The source confirmed that PM-International is not new to charitable work; the company has a long-term charitable donation commitment. It has already sponsored 4,200 children around the world for €5.7 million through World Vision over the last two years, and another 1,000 children will be sponsored in the coming year, bringing the total to 5,200.
It is estimated that sponsoring one child benefits five other children. Juliana Goessmann, Senior Advisor Philanthropy at World Vision Germany, explained how this works. "Everyone in the community can benefit as we improve the situation of children through their families and neighbourhoods, whether the funds are used for schools and learning materials, water systems, or livelihoods. In Zimbabwe, we saw how access to clean water promotes education and good nutrition, and thus changes people's lives."

PM-charity International's partnership with World Vision will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2023. More than 60 long-term development projects around the world have received consistent funding since World Vision began supporting children, their families, and communities. With 5200 sponsored children worldwide, PM-International is the largest corporate sponsor for World Vision's humanitarian, relief, and development work, and a sector leader.
