University of Arizona Global Campus and City of Tucson Collaborate to Provide Full Tuition Grants to Employees

With a proven history of successful collaborations, UAGC has actively worked alongside over 1,300 companies and organizations across the nation, optimizing their corporate tuition assistance programs.

In the partnership between the City of Tucson and UAGC, a flexible online learning model and class format are offered, specifically designed to cater to the busy schedules of city employees. This allows students to conveniently complete their coursework from any location while having the freedom to choose classes that best fit their lifestyle and availability.

Under this program, students can leverage their employer-sponsored tuition program to embark on or complete a degree. The duration of courses varies between five and six weeks, depending on the degree level. This level of adaptability empowers students to study at their convenience.

UAGC President Paul Pastorek expressed his immense pride in collaborating with institutions that share a common commitment to making education more accessible. During a press conference, he stated, "The University is particularly enthusiastic about this collaboration due to the City of Tucson's affiliation with the University of Arizona. Meanwhile, Diane Sotelo, the City of Tucson's HR Manager for Learning and Development, underscored the advantages of the Full Tuition Grant partnership. She emphasized that employees can fully maximize their tuition reimbursement benefits toward obtaining a bachelor's or master's degree.
