…we are thrilled to have this partnership through the IDEAS programme… as they pursue internships, co-ops, and full-time employment, our undergraduate students will benefit from their practical experience working on projects that are essential to the success of our nation…
Students who register for the programme are given a badge, a computer, and an email address, just like onsite Boeing employees, and some even have the opportunity to earn security clearances and work at Boeing facilities during summer or holiday breaks. The university will provide a dedicated secure workspace for the program's students, confirmed a source.
Offering his views on the tie-up, Steve Taylor, interim dean of the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering, said that Boeing is one of the top aerospace companies in the world. "We are thrilled to have this partnership through the IDEAS programme. As they pursue internships, co-ops, and full-time employment, our undergraduate students will benefit from their practical experience working on projects that are essential to the success of our nation. This is the epitome of what we mean when we claim to offer the best engineering experience focused on students in all of America.
