BoomWriter Joins Forces with Walch Education for World-Class EdTech Solutions

B BoomWriter Media Inc, an EdTech developer and publisher, has merged with education powerhouse Walch Education. This establishes the combined company as the leading provider of applications that support the core fundamentals of education. The umbrella company will be called ‘BW Walch’.

The new company brings with it a partnership that provides comprehensive solutions for schools and teachers to create engaging in-class experiences and improve learning outcomes for students of all ages.

Chris Twyman, founder of BoomWriter was quoted as saying, “With so many start-ups in the EdTech industry there will be inevitable consolidation and lots of elimination of fledgling companies. Bringing Walch and BoomWriter together gets us ahead of the curve and together we provide a greater portfolio of engaging educational solutions.”

BW Walch's technology solutions have over 1 million registered users. It saw over 6 million reading logs and over 72,000 books written in March 2022 alone, thanks to its unique collaborative writing tools. The two companies launched two major technology solutions in 2020/2021: GoRead and the Curriculum Engine. GoRead won the top prize at the BETT Awards, and Curriculum Engine, the maths flagship, received a Tech Edvocate award. The Curriculum Engine and BW Walch's maths content are used in hundreds of classrooms, with tens of thousands of students excelling.
