College of the Rockies and the University of Alberta Set New Transfer Agreement Beneficial to Engineering Students

T The College of the Rockies and the University of Alberta have announced a new transfer agreement that “opens additional choices” for engineering students. Sources say that the agreement is a great opportunity for students to gain quality education in Canada.

The new transfer agreement is based on the University of Alberta’s prior Common First Year Engineering certificate arrangement that formalises assured entry into the second year of engineering studies at the college.

…not only will they have access to more personalised support than at a larger institution, but they will also see a considerable tuition cost saving by completing a year at the college before transferring to a large university like Alberta…

Learners from across the world may earn an engineering certificate while adjusting to life in Canada and the educational system at a small institution such as the College of Rookies. Students will also save money by completing the credential at College of the Rockies since they will be studying at a smaller university with smaller classrooms and more individualised attention from teachers.

Speaking to the media, Mr Lee-Yang from the college of Alberta said, “Not only will they have access to more personalised support than at a larger institution, but they will also see a considerable tuition cost saving by completing a year at the college before transferring to a large university like Alberta.”

To benefit from the courses, students must apply directly to the University of Alberta and complete the university's entry standards, "just like any other engineering school," the College emphasises.
