Collegiate Partnerships Open Learning Avenues for Students

P Phenix City Schools have partnered with five colleges for the 2022 to 2023 school year to offer a selection of dual enrollment courses. Partner colleges are Chattahoochee Valley Community College, Auburn University, University of Alabama, Troy University, and Alabama State University.
The benefit of these collegiate partnerships is that it gives students a chance to earn additional college credit, and also up-skills them for the job markets. Apart from the new dual enrollment courses, students can enroll in new Advanced Placement (AP) courses as well.
…we now have a variety of options that can meet the needs of every student, even those with limiting financial circumstances…
The Central High School will offer twelve AP courses, among them are AP Environmental Science, and AP Macroeconomics from the 2022-23 academic year. Teachers new to AP courses will be AP-trained and receive three Continuing Education Units (CEU) or 30 hours of professional learning credits.

A member of Phenix schools said, “Allowing for more dual enrollment partnerships and AP course offerings accomplishes just that for our college-bound students. Coupled with our Career and Technical Education opportunities, we now have a variety of options that can meet the needs of every student, even those with limited financial circumstances.”
Our high school programs prepare students for college, technical and trade schools, and the workforce. Strengthening our dual enrollment and AP programs directly serves our students who are actively seeking early advancement in their college studies, said a superintendent belonging to Phenix Schools.
