Immerse Joins Hands with Meta to Offer Better VR Learning Experiences

W With the help of a new collaboration between Immerse and Meta that went live on June 23, students can participate in virtual lessons in a virtual environment created just for language learning.

Students are invited into a virtual environment by Immerse through a new membership programme where they may schedule live Spanish lessons, practise speaking with others, and take part in social activities.

…the time had come for virtual reality and the metaverse to no longer be thought of as a small add-on to the classroom, but instead for platforms to go direct-to-consumer and disrupt schools head on…

Quinn Taber, Founder and CEO of Immerse while speaking about the collaboration said, “The time had come for virtual reality and the metaverse to no longer be thought of as a small add-on to the classroom, but instead for platforms to go direct-to-consumer and disrupt schools head on.”

Conversation practice is available around-the-clock, and the VR courses are conducted by a language specialist. Additionally, it asserts to provide customised feedback on language growth.

According to Immerse, this collaboration ushers in a new era for VR education, since most firms have previously been viewed as "supplemental tools and add-ons to the traditional classroom." To develop "best practices for immersive teaching and learning" and create a "thriving virtual world community" that would eventually "match the likes of Rec Room, Roblox, and VRChat" are the key objectives of the new platform.
