Language Expert Company Preply Raises $50m in Series C Funding
T The Ukrainian-founded company Preply has raised around $50 million in funding in its latest round of series C funding. Since 2017, Preply has raised $10 million and $35 in series A and series B funding.
Through its latest round of funding, the learning specialist Preply aims to expand its footprints in the US and Europe by engaging with the largest live language learning community in the world.

Owl Ventures, which has already invested in English learning platform Novakid, was the key player in Preply’s Series-C funding. Speaking to the media, Ross Darwin, principal at Owl Ventures, said, "We’re thrilled to partner with Preply on their next phase of growth." We’re particularly excited by the continued momentum of the consumer business as well as its new language learning offering for companies, increasingly reliant on international workforces.
Sources from Preply said that the language learning market is set to reach $47 billion by 2025. This year, the organisation's 'Messages to Ukraine' effort translated over 8,000 global messages of solidarity into Ukrainian, and 1,000 Ukrainians fleeing the nation benefited from a free language aid programme.
