MoU: Indian Army and Jain (Deemed to be University)
A At an event held in September, jointly chaired by Lt. Gen. B.K. Repswal, VSM, the Commandant of the ASC (The Army Service Corps) Centre and College, Bengaluru, and Dr. Chenraj Roychand, chancellor, Jain (Deemed-to-be University), both institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will enable the Indian army personnel and their families to get into both on-campus and online programmes.
This partnership will enable the army personnel to go back to their dream of pursuing further studies during and post-service tenure.
It will open doors to various disciplines like management, commerce, science, and technology. On-campus learning will consist of degrees such as MBA, MCA, M.Sc., PG Diploma, Ph.D., and other certification programmes. It will also give opportunities to the Army personnel who are on study leave, as well as for those who want to pursue online degree programmes such as MBA, MCA, M.A, B.Com, and BBA while at their remote location posting. There are more than 70+ electives to choose from, and study materials will also be available for easy download.
This partnership will enable the army personnel to go back to their dream of pursuing further studies during and post-service tenure. “We are happy to join hands with Jain (Deemed to be University). It’s a step towards setting a new dimension in our journey with one of the reputed institutions in the country. There is a great scope of building bridges for knowledge sharing, and we can benefit from the partnership in giving proper accreditation to our men and enhancing their skill-sets. Online Degree Programmes will help the army personnel to pursue their degree during their service as it gives the flexibility to study from anywhere”, said Lt. Gen. B.K. Repswal.
