New Collaboration Gives Texas Educators Easy Access to Critical Data

T To better serve districts in Texas, Region 7 Education Service Centre (ESC 7) and the NWEA announced collaboration where MAP Growth Data will transfer seamlessly into DMAC. The partnership will give Texas educators more accessibility to critical data, especially in K-12 schools.
The collaboration arose from discussions about the need for a screener to determine which students may be struggling in a particular subject across their 100+ districts and charter organisations.
…we’re excited to have MAP Growth available for ESC 7 districts... our partnership will provide timely access to reliable data…
The reliability and validity of MAP Growth (an interim assessment that can measure academic growth and predict performance on the annual STAAR state assessments) were factors in its selection.
MAP Growth's rich data allows districts to streamline their assessment programmes, freeing up valuable time for instruction. This new integration is currently available to all ESC 7 districts that use NWEA MAP Growth assessments.

Raquel Hamons, Senior Account Executive at NWEA serving Region 7 speaking to the press said, “We’re excited to have MAP Growth available for ESC 7 districts. Our partnership will provide timely access to reliable data.” He further added, “We know there will be better outcomes for students when educators ground their decisions in high quality data and implement them with fidelity.”
The new partnership between NWEA and ESC 7 will also include professional learning opportunities for educators across the region.
