North Park University Partners with College of DuPage in a Move That Ensures COD Admission Transfer
N North Park University's School of Professional Studies (SPS) has partnered with College of DuPage (COD) in Glen Ellyn to provide admission to COD transfer students. Sources say that the two institutions will collaborate to seamlessly transition students from their associate degrees at COD to their bachelor's degrees at North Park.
North Park President Mary K. Surridge expressed her delight at joining the efforts to provide students with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. "This agreement formalises and elevates an excellent new partnership that gives students of the College of DuPage the opportunity to complete their bachelor's degrees at North Park University, in the world-class city of Chicago," she told the media.
…we hope to create a community of learning for all, not only with fellow students but with faculty and staff, to build a strong, supportive network before, during, and after their time at North Park University…
SPS Dean Lori Scrementi added to what Surridge said, saying the two schools "hope to create a community of learning for all, not only with fellow students but with faculty and staff, to build a strong, supportive network before, during, and after their time at North Park University."
SPS, according to Scrementi, provides students with tools for lifelong learning and a strong sense of community-focused decision-making through its integration of Christian, intercultural, and city-centered values. Faculty and staff bring wisdom from their various professions and vocations to their roles at North Park.
The institutional partnership between the schools "reflects our mutual and intentional level of commitment to providing students a clear pathway towards a timely degree in a growing number of academic programmes," according to COD's provost, Mark Curtis-Chávez.
