UK and India: Announce New Schemes for Young Graduates
Together with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has unveiled a programme that will permit 3,000 recent Indian graduates to work and reside in the UK for up to two years. According to the UK government, the beginning of the reciprocal UK-India Young Professionals Scheme is a "significant moment" for the bilateral ties between the two countries. Sunak made the announcement and added, "I can attest to the incredible value of our strong historical and cultural ties with India.
